Kaoru Mitoma has been excluded from Japan's 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup due to a hamstring injury. The Brighton winger sustained the injury during a recent match where his team secured a 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. As a result of this injury, Mitoma will also be unable to participate in Brighton's final two Premier League matches of the season against Leeds United and Manchester United. Japan is set to compete in Group X of the tournament.
