FIFA has removed Dutch referee Rob Dieperink from its roster for the upcoming 2026 World Cup following his recent arrest in the United Kingdom on charges of sexual assault involving a teenage boy. The incident occurred last month, and although reports suggest that the case has since been closed, FIFA has decided to take action by excluding Dieperink from its officiating panel. Prior to his removal, Dieperink was serving as a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) during a Conference League match between Crystal Palace and Fiorentina on April 9.
