The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a public alert regarding the presence of counterfeit Augmentin 625mg tablets in Nigeria. The agency emphasized that these fake antibiotics could pose significant health risks to consumers who may unknowingly use them. In Public Alert No. 024/2026, released on Thursday, NAFDAC detailed the characteristics of the falsified product and urged the public to exercise caution when purchasing medications. The agency has called for immediate reporting of any suspicious products to ensure consumer safety.
