An outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo has resulted in the deaths of 65 individuals, with health authorities estimating that 246 additional cases may be infected. The fatalities and suspected infections have predominantly occurred in the Mongwalu and Rwampara health zones within the northeastern province of Ituri. In response to the escalating situation, health officials are mobilizing resources and implementing measures to contain the outbreak and prevent further transmission of the virus.
