During an executive committee meeting, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi instructed the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company to expedite the West-East Pipeline project. This initiative is part of the United Arab Emirates' strategy to enhance its crude oil export capacity, with plans to double this capacity by 2027 through the port of Fujairah. The accelerated construction of this pipeline is intended to provide an alternative route for oil exports, thereby reducing reliance on the Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing tensions in the region.
