The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has officially commissioned the newly constructed Ihovbor/Benin and Ihovbor/Ajaokuta 330kV turn-in-turn-out transmission lines at the Ihovbor Transmission Substation in Edo State. This initiative is aimed at enhancing electricity transmission capabilities across the nation and is expected to add 600 megawatts (MW) to the national grid. During the commissioning ceremony held in Benin, TCN's Managing Director, Engr. Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz, highlighted the significance of the project in improving the reliability and efficiency of power supply in the region. The new transmission lines are part of the government's broader strategy to modernize and expand the country's electricity infrastructure.
