Bar. Firdausi Sunusi Umar has officially withdrawn from the race for the House of Representatives seat representing the Ringim and Taura Federal Constituency in Jigawa State for the 2027 elections. Her decision, announced during a visit to Governor Umar Namadi at the Government House in Dutse, comes just hours before the primary election and follows extensive consultations with party elders and stakeholders. In her formal letter of withdrawal addressed to the APC National Chairman and received by the state legal adviser, she emphasized her commitment to the unity and progress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and endorsed Yusha’u Muhammad as the consensus candidate for the party. With her exit, all remaining aspirants have also aligned with Muhammad, facilitating a more streamlined primary process for the constituency.
