Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has officially received the nomination form from the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to contest for the Bauchi South Senatorial District seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The governor collected the expression of interest and nomination forms during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the APM held in Abuja on Thursday, following his recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APM. This development indicates the commencement of the party's preparations for the elections, including the screening of aspirants. Governor Mohammed, who is currently completing his second term as governor, aims to return to the Senate, where he previously served as the representative for Bauchi South.
