Workers of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) have intensified their nationwide protest against unresolved welfare issues and allegations of unfair labor practices. On Thursday, the demonstration, organized by the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, saw employees marching from various locations, leading to a temporary halt of activities at the council’s national office in Yaba, Lagos. The protest, which has now entered its second day, reflects the workers' demands for improved working conditions and better treatment within the organization.
