Troops from the 17 Brigade, part of Operation FANSAN YANMA, have apprehended a suspected gunrunner in Katsina, who is believed to have supplied weapons and ammunition to various terrorist groups in the North-West region of Nigeria. The arrest was confirmed in a statement by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency and security expert focusing on the Lake Chad area. The suspect, identified as Saidu, is reportedly linked to several notorious terror kingpins operating in the region. The military continues to intensify operations aimed at dismantling networks that support terrorism in the area.
