Venezuela's migration agency has confirmed the extradition of Alex Saab, a prominent ally of President Nicolás Maduro, to the United States. Saab, aged 54, was apprehended in February and has been characterized as Maduro's "bag man." His extradition follows a previous release from U.S. custody during a prisoner swap, in which the United States freed him in exchange for American citizens detained in Venezuela. The operation reportedly involved assistance from the CIA.
