Ahmed Saleh Junior, an aspirant for the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has raised concerns regarding alleged manipulation and exclusion during the party's primary election for the Mani/Bindawa Federal Constituency. He claimed that he was hindered from fully participating in the direct primary held on Saturday, despite having significant support in the Mani Local Government Area. Saleh pointed to irregularities in the voting and collation process, including reports of voters lacking valid party membership cards, and expressed dissatisfaction with the counting procedures. Following a consensus arrangement that initially endorsed him, the process was reportedly overturned, resulting in Jamila Abdu Mani winning the primary, which has led to tensions among stakeholders and clerics in the constituency. The APC has not yet provided an official response to these allegations.
