The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially adopted a consensus approach for selecting candidates for all elective positions in Nasarawa State in preparation for the 2027 general elections. This announcement was made by the NDC State Chairman, Dogo Shammah, during the party's One-day North Central Zonal Congress held in Lafia. Shammah emphasized that the consensus method is intended to foster unity within the party and prevent internal conflicts, thereby enhancing the party's prospects for success in the forthcoming elections. He also encouraged residents of Nasarawa State and the broader North Central region to join the NDC, highlighting the party's commitment to justice, equity, progress, and good governance.
