The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State has initiated a petition process for candidates dissatisfied with the outcomes of the House of Representatives primary elections held on May 16, 2026. The announcement was made by Tuoyo Omatstuli and Hon. Godwin Anaughe, who serve as the Chairman and Secretary of the APC National Assembly Primary Appeal Committee for the state. Petitions can be submitted at the APC State Secretariat in Owerri on May 18, 2026, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., with specific instructions for aspirants to follow the designated timeframe. This move follows reports of incumbent representatives from Imo State losing their bids for re-election, and the committee aims to address any grievances to ensure a fair candidate selection process for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
