Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has successfully mediated a reconciliation between Kabiru Alhassan Rurum and Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila, who had been at odds due to political differences. The resolution was announced following a meeting held in Kano, where both parties expressed their commitment to forgive past grievances and collaborate moving forward. In a statement released by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad, Rurum confirmed that the misunderstanding has been addressed, paving the way for renewed cooperation in their political endeavors.
