The ECOWAS Parliament has officially adopted a draft resolution focused on combating terrorism and violent extremism in West Africa. This decision was made during the conclusion of the two-week 2026 First Ordinary Session held in Abuja. In addition to the resolution, the Parliament has instructed the Speaker to submit the document to the President of the ECOWAS Commission for further action.
