Oden Ewa, the former Cross River State Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Cross River Central senatorial seat. In the primary election, Ewa received a total of 32,426 votes, significantly outpacing his nearest competitor, Mary Ekpere, who garnered only 991 votes. The incumbent senator for the district, Eteng Jones William, also participated in the election but received fewer votes than both Ewa and Ekpere.
