Human Rights Watch has reported that the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains critical more than six months after a ceasefire agreement was established in October 2025. The organization highlighted that Israeli military actions have resulted in the deaths of at least 856 Palestinians and injuries to over 2,463 others, as documented by the Gaza Health Ministry. Despite an increase in aid distribution by UN agencies, the overall volume of humanitarian assistance has not met the minimum requirements necessary for the population, with significant obstacles to access remaining in place. The report emphasizes that the ongoing Israeli restrictions and military operations have severely impacted the delivery of essential services, exacerbating the already dire conditions faced by civilians in the region.
