They warned that the garments were purportedly enchanted and posed a threat to Tinubu's life. In response to these allegations, Tinubu rejected the claims and wore the attire for an entire week as a demonstration of defiance against what Shettima described as unfounded suspicions. Shettima made these remarks during the public presentation of General Yakubu Gowon's autobiography in Abuja, emphasizing the need for unity and trust among Nigerians amidst a climate of suspicion.
