Lagos arrests, prosecutes 859 traffic offenders

The Lagos State Government has announced the apprehension and prosecution of 859 traffic offenders in Lagos Island and Ikeja for various violations of traffic regulations. Bola Olumegbon Lawal, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Central Business Districts, made this disclosure during the 2026 Ministerial Press Briefing, which marked the third anniversary of the administration's second term. The enforcement actions are part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and ensure compliance with traffic laws in the state.
