The Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) has issued a strong condemnation regarding the recent incidents of kidnapping and murder involving pupils and teachers in Oyo State, along with similar occurrences throughout Yorubaland. OPC President Wasiu Afolabi criticized the governors of South-West and other Yoruba-speaking states for their perceived inaction towards the dangers posed by Fulani terrorists. He emphasized that such violence will not be tolerated and called for immediate measures to address the escalating security concerns in the region. The organization reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the lives and properties of the Yoruba people.
