The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed the lawsuit initiated by the late Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, who served as the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State. The suit sought to obtain an injunction against purported impeachment proceedings that were reportedly linked to his decision not to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside Governor Douye Diri. Justice Emeka Nwite presided over the case and ultimately ruled to strike out the suit, concluding the legal matter following Ewhrudjakpo's passing.
