In a statement released by the union's National President, Audu Amba, and Secretary-General, Clinton Ikpitibo, the incidents were characterized as barbaric and inhumane. The NUT emphasized that educational institutions should serve as secure environments conducive to learning. Furthermore, the union has warned that if these attacks continue, teachers may be compelled to withdraw their services, highlighting the urgent need for improved safety measures in schools.
