During the ongoing trial of six individuals accused of plotting a coup, Zekeri Umoru, the fourth defendant, provided testimony to a Special Investigative Panel at the Federal High Court in Abuja. Umoru stated that Colonel Mohammed Ma’aji, the alleged ringleader of the plot, expressed intentions to gain entry into the Presidential Villa by force, regardless of the cooperation of those he had recruited from within. This revelation forms part of the evidence being presented against the defendants as the court examines the details surrounding the alleged conspiracy.
