Professor Morufu Daodu, a prominent figure in Counselling Psychology and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), has raised alarms regarding the detrimental effects of cybercrime, commonly referred to as Yahoo-Yahoo, on adolescents. During LASUED's Third Inaugural Lecture held in Lagos, he highlighted that such activities are jeopardizing not only the future of young individuals but also their moral character and reputation. Daodu's remarks underscore the urgent need for stakeholders to address the rising trend of cybercrime among youth, emphasizing its potential long-term consequences on society.
