During the 3rd Inaugural Lecture at Oto-Ijanikin, Prof. Morufu Daodu, a Professor of Counselling Psychology at Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), presented findings indicating that approximately 14.4 percent of Nigerians aged 10 to 29 years engage in drug abuse. The study highlighted a concerning trend of psychoactive substance use among this demographic, which also extends to individuals aged 15 to 67. Prof. Daodu's lecture aimed to raise awareness about the prevalence of drug abuse among Nigerian youths and its implications for society.
