Newton Isokpehi, a police officer who gained widespread attention for threatening to kill anyone filming him while on duty, has publicly apologized for his remarks. In a follow-up video shared on TikTok, Isokpehi expressed that his comments were made out of frustration and did not represent his true intentions. He clarified that he does not oppose the public recording police officers but believes there should be limits to how and when this occurs. Isokpehi, who has served in the Mobile Police for 12 years, also shared his personal experiences, including injuries sustained in the line of duty, while appealing for forgiveness from the public and addressing rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu directly.
