APC aspirant Gyang Zi withdraws from Plateau North primary, demands N10bn damages

Gyang Zi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and aspirant for the Plateau North senatorial seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially withdrawn from the party's primary election. This decision follows an alleged defamatory publication that claimed he was "not cleared" to participate in the election process. In a formal letter addressed to the APC National Chairman, dated May 18, 2026, Zi has also demanded N10 billion in damages for the alleged defamation.
