The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in the Northwest Zone has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the Federal Government regarding the non-implementation of the 2025 FGN-ASUU agreement. The union highlighted several critical issues, including unresolved welfare concerns, contentious education policies, administrative irregularities, and the prevailing insecurity in universities, which they believe hinder the academic environment. Prof. Abubakar Sabo, the Zonal Coordinator for ASUU Northwest, representing ten public universities, has called for immediate action from the government to address these challenges, warning that failure to do so may lead to a strike.
