The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has officially selected Ogundu Kingsley Chinda as its governorship candidate for the upcoming 2027 election. Chinda, who is recognized as a close associate of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, secured the nomination during the party's primary election held on Thursday. Kwamoti Bitrus, the Chairman of the APC Governorship Primary Election Committee and Returning Officer, oversaw the process, confirming Chinda's candidacy as the party prepares for the electoral contest.
