Gombe catfish production rises as group trains farmers on feeding techniques

Farmers in the Waziri Cluster of Gombe State have experienced notable enhancements in catfish production as a result of a year-long training initiative focused on feeding techniques. This training was part of the FISH4ACP Catfish Cluster Upgrading Programme, which was implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organisation. The programme received funding from the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, concluding with positive outcomes for local fish farmers. Participants have reported increased yields and improved practices in aquaculture as a direct result of the training.
