Key stakeholders in Nigeria's telecommunications sector, encompassing regulators, policymakers, operators, and development partners, have advocated for a significant revision of the nation's telecommunications policy framework. This initiative aims to align the policy with emerging technologies, the goals of the digital economy, and the changing priorities of national development. The appeal was articulated during the National Telecommunications Policy Review Workshop, which was organized by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Participants emphasized the need for a modernized approach to ensure the sector's growth and adaptability in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
