Eid celebrations in Mali have been significantly affected by ongoing insecurity, particularly due to the actions of fighters from Al-Qaeda's Sahel branch. This situation has contributed to shortages of essential goods and a rise in costs, further dampening the festive atmosphere typically associated with the holiday. As a result, many residents are facing challenges in accessing supplies necessary for traditional celebrations.
