Troops from the 196 Amphibious Battalion, operating under Operation HADIN KAI, apprehended a woman believed to be associated with the logistics network of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during a security operation in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State. The arrest occurred on May 20 at approximately 8:00 a.m. at the C Company 7 Platoon checkpoint, where the troops were conducting a routine stop-and-search operation. The suspect is now in custody for further investigation and questioning regarding her alleged connections to the group.
