On Thursday, unknown gunmen abducted a community health worker known as 'Dr. Ebi' and his wife in Iluke, a town located in the Bunu district of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Kogi State. The assailants invaded the Okebukun area around 1 a.m., taking the couple away on motorcycles while firing shots as they fled, which has heightened fear among local residents. This incident follows a series of security breaches in the region, including a previous attack on May 4, where a commercial driver was kidnapped and held for ransom. The Kogi State Police Command has been informed of the situation, but no further details have been released regarding their response.
