This alert was communicated during a stakeholders’ engagement event focused on the National Disaster Preparedness and Response Campaign 2026, which took place in Birnin Kebbi. NEMA emphasized that the month of September is anticipated to bring heightened rainfall, increasing the risk of flooding in the affected regions. The agency urged local authorities and residents to take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of possible flooding.
