Wayne Rooney, the former captain of the England national football team, has expressed his views on Harry Maguire's exclusion from the World Cup squad selected by manager Thomas Tuchel. Rooney characterized Maguire as "very unlucky" to miss out on the opportunity to participate in the tournament. The Manchester United defender, who has earned 66 caps for England, played a significant role in the team's success during the 2018 World Cup, where they reached the semi-finals, as well as in the quarter-finals of the subsequent tournament.
