Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has achieved a significant victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary, securing 233,335 votes from the 17 local government areas. His sole opponent, retired Commander Yilchini Jan Bida, garnered only 3,070 votes. The APC Governorship Primary Election Committee confirmed Mutfwang's victory, stating that he met all necessary requirements outlined in the party's constitution and guidelines. Mutfwang, who transitioned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in late 2025, views this win as a validation of his administration's efforts and a reflection of the shifting political landscape in Plateau State.
