Aichatou El-Rufai, the spouse of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has filed a lawsuit against the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) seeking ₦2 billion in damages for alleged defamation. The legal action comes in response to statements made by the ICPC that Aichatou El-Rufai claims have harmed her reputation. The case has been officially registered in court, and further proceedings are expected as both parties prepare to present their arguments.
