Aichatou El-Rufai, the wife of detained former Kaduna State governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has formally approached the chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) with a pre-action notice. In this notice, she is seeking N2 billion in damages, alleging that certain statements made by the ICPC chairman have negatively impacted her image and reputation. The legal document, submitted through her legal representatives, contests the claims made in a recent press release that she asserts are false and damaging.
