The European Union has issued a warning indicating that oil and gas prices are projected to remain high until at least the end of 2027. This forecast is attributed to ongoing geopolitical tensions, particularly the fallout from the conflict in Iran, which is expected to exert continued pressure on inflation and economic growth across the region. The announcement was made by EU Economy Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis following a meeting of eurozone finance ministers held in Cyprus on Friday.
