Aichatou el-Rufai, the spouse of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai, has formally initiated legal proceedings against the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). She has submitted a pre-action notice to the ICPC chairman, seeking N2 billion in damages for purportedly defamatory remarks attributed to the commission. This legal action arises in the context of allegations made by Mohammed Bello, which suggested that ICPC operatives obstructed his father's access to certain services.
