The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has successfully intercepted a significant shipment of tapentadol, an illicit opioid, valued at N2.1 billion at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. In a related operation, the agency apprehended suspects in possession of cocaine and other opioids at airports in Abuja and Enugu. According to a statement released by NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi on Sunday, operatives recovered a total of 1,825,710 tablets during these operations, highlighting the agency's ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Nigeria.
