The Kano State health agency has announced the expansion of its health insurance program to include inmates, individuals living with HIV, and hypertensive patients. Ms. Aliyu-Mukhtar reported that over 6,000 vulnerable hypertensive patients have already been enrolled in the initiative, which aims to provide access to essential medications and medical investigations that these individuals might not be able to afford otherwise. This move is part of the state's broader efforts to enhance healthcare accessibility for marginalized populations.
