A Jos Magistrates’ Court has sentenced Shuiabu Abubakar, a 23-year-old labourer, to 30 months in prison for his involvement in a burglary. Abubakar was found guilty of breaking into a shop and stealing wrappers and other clothing materials valued at N158,000. He faced charges of trespass, theft, and malicious damage, to which he pleaded guilty. The presiding Magistrate delivered the judgment, emphasizing the seriousness of the offences committed.
