The Dumebi Kachikwu-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is scheduled to convene its national convention in Abuja today, aimed at strategizing for the upcoming 2027 general elections. Kingsley Temitope Ogah, the acting National Chairman of the faction, announced that the event will gather party leaders, delegates, state executives, youth and women representatives, as well as various political stakeholders from across Nigeria. The convention will focus on strengthening the party's internal democratic structures, facilitating the election of members to the National Working Committee, and discussing critical issues related to the party's electoral strategy. Additionally, the gathering will serve as a platform for dialogue on national development, political inclusion, and grassroots mobilization, with the intention of fostering a more robust democratic alternative to address Nigeria's challenges. The event is set to take place at A-Class Garden in Wuse 2, starting at 3:00 pm.
