Kidnapped Passengers Slip to Freedom as Gunmen Fall Asleep in Kogi Forest

Several passengers who were kidnapped along the Itobe–Ajegwu–Anyigba road in the Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State managed to escape from their captors. This incident took place on Saturday when armed men ambushed two passenger buses, one of which had the registration number Ebonyi NKE 737. Reports indicate that the passengers seized the opportunity to flee while the gunmen were asleep. In response to the abduction, security operatives have launched an intensified manhunt for the armed gang responsible for the attack.
