The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has expressed deep concern over the escalating violence in Ukraine, which has resulted in a rising number of civilian casualties and disruptions to humanitarian efforts. During a press briefing in Geneva, Bernadette Castel-Hollingworth highlighted a recent missile strike on a UNHCR warehouse in Dnipro that killed at least two individuals and destroyed vital aid supplies worth over $1 million. This incident marks the first attack on a UNHCR facility since the onset of the full-scale invasion and underscores the increasing dangers faced by humanitarian workers in the region. As the conflict continues, UNHCR reports that nearly 47,000 people have been evacuated through its support centers, with many more displaced and in urgent need of assistance.
