The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is set to select its presidential candidate today, following a lack of consensus among its contenders. In preparation for the exercise, the party has appointed Emenike as the chairman of the election committee and has cleared a total of 80 gubernatorial, 109 senatorial, and 513 House of Representatives aspirants to participate in direct primaries. Additionally, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar emphasized the importance of choosing a competent and experienced candidate for the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
