The Lagos State Government has announced the arrest of over 10,000 residents for various environmental and traffic offences. Among those detained, 5,715 individuals were apprehended for crossing highways illegally, while 3,886 others faced charges related to street trading, environmental pollution, and cart-pushing activities. Additionally, 102 individuals were arrested for engaging in open defecation, and 931 were taken into custody for violations concerning waste management. These actions are part of the government's ongoing efforts to enforce regulations aimed at maintaining public order and environmental cleanliness in the state.
